Across financial services, telecoms, and regulated industries, I’ve led major change and IT programmes ranging from multi-million-pound regulatory implementations and system migrations to global cybersecurity transformations. Along the way, I’ve learned that successful delivery isn’t just about frameworks – it’s about clarity, culture, and accountability.
My background combines hands-on programme management with strategic portfolio leadership. I’ve built and coached delivery communities, rescued failing initiatives, and designed PMO frameworks that move organisations from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven control. Whether shaping FCA-compliance portfolios at Aviva, developing the APM Body of Knowledge, or guiding The Cumberland Building Society through proposition simplification ahead of a core banking migration – my focus has always been the same: turn complexity into confidence.
I’m a Chartered IT Professional and Fellow of the British Computer Society, holding a BSc in Business IT Project Management and a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. But more importantly, I bring perspective – having seen what good delivery looks like, and what happens when it goes wrong.
Today, I work independently with organisations seeking to raise their delivery maturity, strengthen PMO capability, and align projects with measurable business outcomes. I help senior leaders ask the right questions, PMOs design frameworks that fit, and teams rediscover the satisfaction of delivering work that truly matters.
